In June of 1968, a grieving community had lost seven young men to the war in Vietnam. Crescenta Valley residents volunteered time and money to build what was probably the first Vietnam memorial in the nation. Eventually 24 names were enshrined on the monument. These are the stories of those young men – how they lived and how they died. It is important that we never forget them and their sacrifice.
